A Little Something About Melody.
Melody B. Blake is the eldest “Green” sister. She is a seasoned 42 year old who is summed up as being the fabulous, fearless, truth serum life coach for the “Green Clan.” Melody is known to say what everyone is thinking but afraid to say… This could be her biggest weakness (or strength)! Melody’s profound medical background has helped the Green family navigate the storms of the past few years overseeing their mom and Mandy’s medical woes. She ensured that the medical teams stayed on track, questioned the doctors and pushed back when Mom and Mandy were too sick. She loves to run — she’s completed countless marathons, half marathons, 5Ks, and duathalons. Melody has finally finished her career as a professional student, and most recently obtained her Master in Healthcare Administration (MHA) at George Washington University. Her prior degrees include a Bachelor in Applied Science in Radiology, an Associate in Applied Science in Radiology and Radiation Therapy. She currently works at the American College of Radiology (ACR) as a Radiation Specialist — yet she is still trying to figure out what she wants to do when she grows up!
A Little Something About Mandy.
Mandy Hughes — the middle Green sister — was born in the late summer, ready to face challenges. To this day, she’s beat leukemia twice! At a very young age, she was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called Histiocytosis X; A disease that has four areas in which it effects: the blood, the liver, the bones, and the spleen. Normally one with all four areas affected doesn’t live through it, and Mandy is 1/1000 kids that miraculously made it through. After finishing school, Mandy moved to Alabama temporarily to go to school for nursing, eventually moving back home and working at a pharmacy.
While working in Columbus for 15 years, Mandy got married, bought a house, and had two beautiful little girls (Chloe and Raelynn). Shortly after moving in, Mandy fell ill and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Although that was one of the worst days of her life, she knew she’d be okay because she’s a fighter, and couldn’t leave this world without showing her girls that their mom was going to make it. After going through two rounds of chemo and a stem cell transplant (from her sister, Molly!) she’s been out of the hospital since and living her life to the fullest.
A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT MOLLY.
Molly Grubb grew up in Newark, Ohio, and is the youngest of six . She obtained a degree from The Ohio State University in Actuarial Science and has a diverse background in risk assessment, pensions and wealth management. She has been a proven leader within two banks: National City and Key Bank. As a result of wanting to provide a wider range of products and develop a closer relationship with her clients, she developed Grubb Financial Services. It was founded as a company that takes pride in being educators in today’s complex world of finances and challenges that life can bring, to prevent a negative impact on one’s wealth. Since Grubb Financial Services became Grubb Wealth Management, a more specific engagement of the fiduciary standard is able to be embodied. As a result, clients can have a personal CFO to allow them to achieve all that is important to them.
In her free time, Molly loves being active! Similar to Melody, Molly is an avid runner and cycler. She loves spending time with her friends, family, and loves going dancing. She’s always looking for new places to try and make the most out of life!
